広いのっぱらど真ん中には
色んな「きょだいなもの」が落ちている。
ピアノや石鹸。トイレットペーパーも！
ページを開けば、まるで自分が小さい虫になったみたいに
大きく大きく見える世界。
ふとした時に口ずさみたくなる、テンポのいい言葉。
そして何より、さいごの「絵だけのページ」は
見終わった後に色んなことを想像させる。

絵本の中にはうーんと広い世界が広がっているんだなあと思わせる絵本。

あったとさあったとさ・・・で繰り返される問いかけ唄のような
心地よい文章に、画面いっぱいに描かれたさまざまな物たち。
「きょだいな・・なんだろう？」と子供たちとあてっこしながら
読み進めると楽しいよ。
読み聞かせ会などの最初に持ってくるといいです。

小学校で読み聞かせの会を始めることになリ、読み聞かせの先輩に紹介いただいた一冊。大きな野原に巨大ないろんなものがつぎつぎと現れて…　物語の中に入っていく子どもたちの力と、絵本の力をはじめて思いしらされた一冊でした。子どもってすごい！　読み聞かせでは、じっくり聞かせるお話の前の導入としてお勧めです。３、４年生でも十分楽しめます。
