こどものころ、大好きだった絵本を自分の子供に読んであげたい！と思い、探していました！
実際、数十年ぶりに手に取ると、覚えている内容とちょっと違う、あっさりした内容。
どうやら、うちの母が適当にアレンジしていたようです。
行間に親子のやりとりがしやすい本です！

絵もとってもかわいいので、母直伝のアレンジを効かせて、子供に読み聞かせています。
一緒に子供役になって驚いたり、お母さん役になって怒ったりと、子供と一緒に
身振り手振りで盛り上がっています！

雨降りの中、お母さんに、おつかいを頼まれた女の子が、いろいろ言い訳をしながら、おつかいから逃げようとするお話です。

繰り返しと、それに伴って、どんどん、エスカレートしていく言い訳。それに従い、どんどん、アイテムを用意するために奔走するネコくん。それにおジャマ虫のようについていく（あるページでは、パチンコを構えたり、ペロペロキャンディーをかじったりする）ネズミくん。

さて、この絵本の主人公はだれでしょうか？一度も顔が出てこないのに、手だけの登場で、その感情を表してあまりあるお母さんかもしれません。少しずつ、お母さんの手が伸びていくのです。そして、最後は「はやく　いきなさい！！」と２ページに渡って現れる文字と手！お母さんの手は、そこでおしまいですが、女の子の妄想はまだまだ続きます！

’せんたくかあちゃん’とか最近の’ばばばあちゃん’ほど突拍子なくもなく、
ちゃんとしたオチがあるのがいいですね。
ただ現実が無理だからこそ’お母さん’は、もう少しとんちの効いた受け答えが理想的かなと
思います。
理づめで来る二番目、三番目は実際、ほとほと手を焼かされますからね。
