   カクカクと曲がった小さな棒がたくさん「がちゃ　がちゃ」。大きなオレンジのマルが跳ねて「どん　どん」。黄色い稲妻「かーん　かーん」。緑の線が何かにあたって「ちん　ちん」。白いマルが揺れて「りん　りん」。どさん。ぽん　ぽん。ぐにゃ　ぐにゃ。ぼきん。

   『ころころころ』、『もこもこもこ』、『もけらもけら』などの絵本を描き、前衛画家としては初めて紫綬褒章を受章したという日本を代表する“モダンアートの鬼才”元永定正による本書は、音が見える絵本である。

   ざあー　ごー。とん　ちん　かん。ぶわぁ　がちゃん。いろいろな音に合わせて、カラフルで抽象的なイラストが動き出す。最後の「ぷ」に至るまで、小さな子どもたちの笑い声は絶えることがないはず。その姿は、大人には不思議に思えるほどである。

   2歳からが対象とされてはいるが、もう少し小さな子どもでも充分楽しむことができるだろう。子どもたちの反応が楽しいアートな1冊。（小山由絵）

身近の音を「絵と言葉」にしたらこんな感じ。という本です。 それぞれの音をイメージしながら声を変えて読んでいたらいつのまにか読んでる方が真剣になってしまいます。 娘が１０ヶ月の頃から読んでいるのですが、娘も大のお気に入りで次に出てくる絵を覚えていて私より先に読もうとします。

同じ作者による『もこ もこもこ』も『ころころころ』も、現在９ヶ月の息子には、
他の絵本にはない、少し独特の反応が見られます。
どちらも購入したのは６ヶ月の時でした。
早いかな･･･と思いつつ、絵本を開くと、小さい子なりに心に響いた印象でした。
以来、繰り返し読んでますが、成長の段階や当日の機嫌により反応が違うので
面白いです。
子供ウケしそうな絵本より、これらの不思議な絵本が何故か反応がよいのです。

そんな経緯があり、今回、この本を買ってみました。
私の眼では前述の２冊より絵柄が漫画チックで★４つですけど、息子の反応は
これまでにはない熱心さが見られるので、★５つの評価ができると思います。
絵を参照に効果音を作ると大ウケで、読んでいる私自身までかなり楽しめす。
加えて、この作者の絵本はどこか哲学的な面もあり、何だか癒されたり、諭され
たりです。
親子で末長く楽しめる１冊だと思いました。

　１歳９ヶ月の息子がこの本を読んであげると声を出してとても喜びます。何気ない日常生活の音の響きをこんなにも楽しい、面白いと感ずるのかと、こちらも読んでいて楽しくなります。
