5.0 out of 5 stars 親子でそれぞれ楽しめる一冊, 2004/11/4
朝、雨が降っています。残念ながら、あおぞら幼稚園のいも掘り遠足は、一週間延期になってしまいました。そこで子供たちは･･･土の中で待ってくれているおいもを想像して、まずは絵に描き始めたのです。それはそれは大きくて！！ページをめくってもめくっても･･･まだまだおいも。｢楽しみにしていた事が出来なくなる＝残念｣だけでは終わらない、子供ならではの素早い発想の転換、想像力の豊かさ、そして何よりも楽しむ事を知っている、やっぱり子供ってすごいなぁ･･･と素晴らしい才能を改めて実感しました。我が子の方は、この園の子供たちと一緒に、まるでその場にいるかのように溶け込んで、ついには｢いもらす６ごう｣となっておおはしゃぎ。読み終える頃には、絵本の世界に自然に入り込めている子供をうらやましいなと感じることが出来た一冊でもありました。

小さい頃に大好きだった、という人も多いのではないでしょうか。
最近になって読みなおし、自由な線とシンプルな色使いに驚かされました。

本編を通じて使われているのは、赤紫のみ。それが、子供たちの絵の具から始まり、大きなさつまいもの色に、さつまいものかいじゅうの色に、パーティーのお料理の色に、おならに、そして最後は夕焼けに‥‥と、子供たちの空想と一緒に広がってゆきます。たった一色だけれど、本当に゛あの゜さつまいもの色そのものであるというのもポイントです。

雨で芋掘り遠足にいけなかった園児たちが、
みんなで描いたお芋は大きくて長くて、
ページをめくってもめくっても
迫力の赤紫色のおいもが続きます。
まだまだ・・といいながら嬉しそうにページをめくり、
「おーきかったねぇ」と読み終えたら
きっと満足そうにつぶやくはず。
タイミング良く
ふかしてあったおいもを出してあげたら喜びそう。
