5.0 out of 5 stars 「小さな女心」を刺激する「子供向けビフォーアフター」, 2004/6/26
「子供が自宅ヘアカットを嫌がりつづけて、2ヶ月ぐらいたった時」って、この絵本じゃないけど、ホントに「ポンキッキのムック。ディスコブームの頃のアフロヘアの人。…もっともっと『すごいの』、うちの子の頭！」と叫びたくなるくらい『すごく』ありませんか？そこで、泣いて嫌がる我が子をハサミを片手に追いかけて、家の中をドタバタと走り回るハメに…。

…そういう時こそ、この絵本。表紙の、ルルちゃんの「すごい頭」と、最後のページの「綺麗なルルちゃん」の比較は、子供でも「へぇーっ」と思うくらい簡潔明瞭。そこへすかさず、「鏡に映った綺麗な子だあれ？」という、名コピー！「大手広告代理店製作のコマーシャル並」に、「ヘアカットの素晴らしさ」を物語る絵本です。この本のお陰でうちの子も、ヘアカットを全く嫌がらないように…
…は、ならないで、未だにカットの日のたんびに親子の死闘を繰り返しているのですが、だけど、カットし終わった後は、ルルちゃんさながら、大きなリボンを頭につけてやって、「鏡に映った綺麗な子だあれ？」と囁けば、やっぱり
「ぽっ」と頬を赤らめてニッコリするのです。

このシリーズに出て来るルルちゃんは、夜は寝ない、何でも嫌だと言う、にんじんは食べない、カットも嫌がる、よその子が泣いてたら訳もないのに釣られて泣く…、そう、とっても身近な「どこにでもいる子」。子供にとっては｢私だけじゃない」、母にとっては「うちの子だけじゃない」と、大きな元気を与えてくれます。是非是非是非、オススメしたいです。

　この本を読んでから、いやいやながらも髪を洗わせてくれるようになりました。シャンプーが終わると、「いいこであたまあらった。かわいくなった？」と聞きます。もじゃもじゃ頭だったルルちゃんが、この本の最後で、髪を整えてかわいくなったのが印象的だったのでしょう。
　今日も、おやすみ前に「もじゃもじゃよんで」と持ってきました。この本がよほど気に入ったようです。ルルちゃんが髪を切ってかわいくなる場面では、嬉しそうにしていました。すっかりルルちゃんになりきっている様子です。
