小学2年生の頃から小学校の図書室で何度も何度も読み返していました。大人になってやっと自分の本として手に入れた喜びはいまでも忘れません。

星座の本は無機質なものが多いと思いますが、この本は真実とロマンが同居している本だと思います。

代表的な星座当てのクイズがあったり、親しみやすい星座の代表であるオリオンの神話が載っていたり、「光年」の意味も解説してあるなど子供向けといっても要所は押さえてあり、とても優れていると感じます。

昨日、幼稚園の年長の子供のクラスで、プラネタリウムに行って来ました。「さそり座は？いて座に狙われてるんだよね。」そう、その通り。さっそくこの本を開いて確かめました。プラネタリウムで効いてきたお話がそのまま載っていました。子供は大喜びです！
イラストも「おさるのジョージ」の方なので親しみやすく、子供と一緒に絵本のように楽しめますよ！

星座のことについてわかりやすくまとめた絵本です。
作者はあの「ひとまねこざる」curious Georgeの人なので、絵もお馴染みと
いう人があるかもしれません。
面白いのは、ギリシャ神話なども盛り込んである点で、子供から読めるほか
大人の読書にも十分たえ得る作品です。
星を見たくなる本です。

子供のころ（小学校高学年）、親が「読んでごらん」と買い与えてくれた本。初めて星座に触れたのですが、大きな書面いっぱいにプラネタリウムのように星座がわかりやすく書いてあり、ガイド役のキャラクターのかわいらしさも印象的でした。普段考えたこともない、宇宙の様子を思い浮かべたりして、一生懸命星座を覚えたりしました。冬の空に本と同じオリオン座をみつけた時の感動は忘れられません。
　小さなお子さんへのプレゼントにもいいし、おとなが読んでも充分夢の世界へ行ける本だと思います。
