ごろごろごろ とロ-ラ-は、トラックや りっぱな自動車や 小型の自動車に笑われながらもゆっくりとでこぼこ坂道を登っていきます。ロ-ラ-がますます急になるでこぼこ道を進んでいくと先ほど抜かしていったはずの車達がパンクして泣いているではないですか！

ロ-ラ-は彼らに暖かい声をかけつつ先を急ぐとやがて修理を終えた彼らが今度は感謝の言葉を述べながら通り過ぎて行く、、、という素敵なお話です。

寝る前に最低1回は親子で楽しんでいます。擬人化された車も愛らしい（決してこびてはいない）のですが道沿いには“ロ-ラ-チョコレ-ト”等いろいろなお店、ロ-ラ-と一緒に坂道をかけてくる一匹の犬がいたりと絵だけを見ても楽しめます。

この本は次男（３歳）がお気に入りです。内容は早くもかっこよくもない舗装用ローラー車がみんなにばかにされながらも自分の得意分野を生かしみんなから感謝される物語です。

この本は始め図書館でかりました。ところが返却したあとも次男がしつこく求めるもので購入しました。同じようなストーリーで「しょうぼうしゃじぷた」も借りたのですがなぜか「のろまなローラー」のほうがお気に入りです。子供の感覚は不思議でおもしろいです。。

うちの２歳のこどもたちが、もう半年以上もお気に入りの絵本です。
対象年齢４歳からとありますが、２歳でも２歳なりに十分楽しいようで、毎晩読んでくれと持ってきます。
文章の調子も、「ごろごろ　ごろごろ　ローラーが・・・」と歌うようなゆったりした感じなので、聞き心地が良いのかもしれません。

幼児の頃からの思い出として記憶に深く刻まれている一冊です。
街中でローラーを見るたびにこの絵本のストーリーを思い出し、一人癒されます。
