うさこちゃんがお父さんのふわふわさんと海で，砂遊びや貝殻拾いをして遊んだお話。ブルーナの絵は，ごくごくシンプルにもかかわらず，すごく味があり，描きこまれてないのに，表情豊かに感じる。テキストも読み聞かせてあげるのにふさわしい。まさしく「子どもがはじめて出会う本」だと思いました。

２人の娘に「うさこちゃん」シリーズを読んであげているのですが、この「うさこちゃんとうみ」は中でも最高の１冊ではないでしょうか。まず基調になっている黄色がなんとなくオシャレな良い雰囲気です。そして、最初に登場するボーダーの服を着たうさこちゃんもオシャレでかわいらしい。一番好きなシーンは砂山を作るうさこちゃんのシーン。シンプルですが、なんとなく魅かれてしまうブルーナさんの絵本の魅力が凝縮したイラストだと思います。２人の娘はもちろん大好きですが、いい年をしたオヤジの私まで気に入ってしまう凄い絵本です。小さい娘さんがいらっしゃる方には絶対お薦めします。

４ヶ月の娘に読んできかせています。
文章ににリズムがあり、読んでいるこちらが、楽しい本です。
娘は、きれいな色の絵をじっと見ています。
話の長さもちょうどいいです。
うさこちゃんとお父さんの会話がなんとも優しい気持ちにさせてくれます。
