BLとは到底思えない表紙のおっかなさに今まで手を伸ばせなかったのですが、巷で溢れているBLとは違うという噂を聞き、チャレンジしてみました。初・西田東がこの本になりました。大成功でした。
絵は巧い……とは言えないですが、漫画は巧いです。間が巧い、というのでしょうか。
シリアスかと思えば唐突に挟まれる軽いノリと妙な小道具。好き嫌いはありそうですが、私はそんな西田節にはまりました。摩訶不思議な個性を持った作家さんです。
本編が面白かったのはもちろんですが、何と言ってもびっくりしたのはあとがき！強烈なインパクトを残してくれました。類をみません。

「願い叶えたまえ」は、ピアニストで主人公の絹川の、深見への愛情と惧れを、時にコミカルに、時にハードに描いたＢＬ漫画。ヤクザの男・深見に惧れを抱きつつ惹かれずにはいられないピアニストの絹川は、自分の気持ちを理解して欲しいと心のどこかで願うも、それは夢のまた夢と半ば諦め、それでも彼のためにひたすらピアノを引き続ける――。

西田さんの作品は、一言で言えばタイトル通り、「甘くないＢＬ」だと思います。絵柄も甘くなく、ストーリーも決して甘くない。だけれどそこがいい。先の方が述べておられるように、「甘いＢＬに食傷気味の方は是非」。とにかく読んでみてください、としか言えません。ハマると抜けられなくなります。

前から西田さんの作品のファンでした。今回の作品は特に良かったです。人によっては西田さんの絵はとっつきにくいという意見もあり、実際とてもぶっきらぼうな絵なんですが感情がとても伝わってきます。普通に生きてきたピアニストとフェロモン垂れ流しのやくざのお兄さんのお話です。住む世界が違うという障害あり、任侠あり、せつなさあり、笑いありです。好きな人を思う気持ちはとても切ないし、ましてそれを隠したり、我慢することはこんなに苦しくて、つらいんだと心が痛くなりました。まだ一巻でこの先がどうなるのか本当に待ち遠しいです。私は結構ＢＬ漫画を読みますが、読みながら涙があふれたのは初めてでした。あと読みきりの短編でやっぱり両思いはいいなあと思いました。この二人にも両思いになってほしい！！！！
