最初1･2巻までは青年誌によくある官能的なシーンを
盛り込むためのストーリーかと思っていましたが、
3･4巻あたりから物語に引き込まれ、
最後の24巻まで一気に読めました。

夜の世界が舞台ということで、読み初めは
変に偏見や抵抗を感じながらかもしれませんが、
舞台が夜の世界でなくとも十分に成立する、
一人の女性の惹きつけられる生き様が描かれています。

経済格差、家庭環境を背景に強い意志で自立し、
人とのつながりを大切にし、しかし肝を据えて生き抜いていく。

女性はともあれば結婚や恋愛ばかりに気を取られがちになりますが、
男性と心を通わせながらも自分の人生を見失うことなく、
しっかりと、一本筋の通った生き方を貫き、
様々な場面を乗り越えていきます。

そんな主人公の姿勢に、同性である私たち女性も
本当に多くのことを学ぶことができる物語です。

彩香が旅館を購入する際に尾上が保証人になったことが国会で問題になる。
とうとう真実を明かす時が来た。
彩香の陰の人生が終わり、日の当たる人生が始まる。
一人ぼっちだった彩香は、今では大家族。読み終わって、これは彩香の家族を紹介する物語だったことを知る。
外伝では、篠原、大沢、両氏の人生の去り際が語られる。
そして、篠原の跡目問題は続編「女帝花舞」への序曲となる。

最終巻は読んでて本当に感動しました。２０巻は読んでて涙が出ました。正直始めのうちは読んでてちょっと暗いな、思ったのですが、３巻から一気に引き込まれて徹夜で一気に読んでしまいました。お勧めです。
