5.0 out of 5 stars 大震災+ミステリ+ライトノベルです, 2005/6/19
シリーズ最高傑作と言っても良いできだと思います。
シリーズ通した小気味好い文体は今回ももちろん健在です。
そして其四での最大の味噌は、なんと言っても大震災を持ってきたというところでしょう。
関東大震災の話を書くということは、相当大変なことだと思います。
それなりの資料を持ってかかるのは当然のことですが、
シリーズであるためミステリも絡めなければならないし、
ライトノベルであるため重くなりすぎる話にしてはならない。
しかし、前作で見事にライトノベルとミステリを絡めた田代さんは、
今作でも大震災とミステリとライトノベルを見事に融合させました。
大震災が見事に事件にからまり、恋愛要素も見事事件にからまり、
文体のおかげか話が重くなりすぎず、かといって軽くなりすぎない。
もう少しトリックにはインパクトがほしいかな、と贅沢なことも思いましたが、
犯人の動機や骸惚先生の考え方、他には恋愛だか家族愛だかの要素、パターン化されていない解決シーンなど、すごく楽しめました。
