このシリーズは読みやすいです。
大仰に知識を並べ立てたり、小難しい哲学や作者の考え方がモロに作品に反映しているようなライトノベルではないです。

この２巻は都市に立て籠もった主人公側の籠城戦を描いていて、シリーズ中一番面白いです。

　今回の舞台は邪神たちの攻撃により、孤立無縁な状態に置かれてしまった都市国家ワイマール。ここでジャスティスとライオットはまるで戦闘経験がない年若い者達と一緒に、これまた年若い指揮官ロエルの元一致団結して戦います。新大陸十字軍が到達するまでの間、彼は持ちこたえられることが出来るだろうか？というストーリー。
　寒さと飢えという極限状態の中の接戦を描いた作品で、読んでて結構面白かったです。前作よりも迫力があっていい。

良作の題2弾。今回も魅力的なキャラ達のふれあいが良いところ。ストーリーは王道的だが、決して悪いわけではない。今回も良作と言ってよいでしょう。ただ、そろそろ主人公達の背負ってるものをもう少し明らかにしてほしいところ。次回に期待。
