雑誌のメイク記事とかを読んでいても、結構応用が書いてあったり、一つのアイテムだけにこだわって記事が載っていたりするのですが、これはメイク全般にかけての基礎知識なので読んでいて筋が通っていて、改めて基礎を確認できます。
豆知識や、メイク道具の手入れ方法、肌トラブルなどの困った時の対処法まで載っているのは、著者がメイクさんだけあります。
化粧入門に一冊持っていると凄く便利だと思います。

メイクって、誰からもちゃんと教えてもらってことがないものの一つですよね。レタスクラブで連載されていたころから、好きで読んでいたコーナーが一冊にまとまったと聞いて、早速買いました。適当に塗っていたマスカラも、この本を読んで塗ってみたら、目の大きさが本当に大きくなったみたい。あと、ファンデーションの塗り方も、何色も使わないと女優さんのような立体的な感じにはならないのかな、と思っていましたが、塗り方を変えただけで、肌の調子がよく見えるほどうまく行きました。私はコスメマニアの友達のように、たくさん化粧品も買わないし、デパートの化粧品カウンターにもあまり行きません。だからこそ、こういう情報は必要でした。山本浩未さん、ありがとう！！

恥ずかしながら本気で化粧の仕方を知らないのです。取りあえずファンデ塗っとけ、みたいな。いい歳扱いて今更誰に聞けというのか。
そんな人間には大層便利な本です。基礎の基礎が図版入りで紹介されているので素人にも大変分かりやすい。ポイントポイントが抑えられているのがまた有り難いのです。

しかし本当に面倒くさいですね、メイク(笑)
