今まで、日経NETWORKを読んだことがなかったので、雑誌の再編集ということもあってあまり期待していなかったのですが予想していた以上に良かったです。

特徴としては、以下のような感じです。

1全体を通して重箱の隅をつつくような解説は避け、全体像を理解することに徹して書かれている。
21つの小テーマにつき、見開き1ページないしは2ページで収まるようにしてあり読み切りやすい。
3フルカラーで図・写真を多用している。

個人的にはケーブルに関する記事が良かったですね。他の書籍だと、簡易図か白黒写真が載っている程度なのでどうにもイメージし難かったのですが、この本では3にあるようにカラー写真で、内部の配線構造まで載っていて参考になりました。

私のようにある程度知識のある方が、復習目的で購入されるのも良いと思いますし、初心者の方が他の専門的な書籍を読まれる前に、この本を読んでみるのも良いかと思います。

ネットワーク初心者が、イメージしにくいネットワークの全体像が体系的に理解出来ると思います。ＴＣＰ、ＩＰ、Ethernetがどのように連携してデータをやりとりしているか等わかり易く解説してありネットワークの第一歩には大変参考になると思います。ただ前刊より値段が高くなったは残念です。

この前、家に無線のブロードバンドルーターを導入した際に、設定は簡単にできるようになっていたのですがなにを設定しているのか良くわからず悔しいので本書を買って読んでみました。

するとルーターの設定は勿論、ネットワーク全体の見通しが非常にすっきりと実感することが出来ました。

最近はルーターの設定もクライアント側の設定も自動的にやってくれるのであまりネットワークの知識がなくても使えることは出来ますがそれではトラブルがあったときに自分で解決することは難しいように思われます。なので、本書を本で最低限の知識を身に付けておくことをお勧めいたします。

非常にわかりやすい本です。
