本日（2009年2月4日）、合格証が届いたのでレビューします。
試験内容は、ほとんどがこのテキストから出題されますので、検定合格のためならばこのテキストで必要十分です。
私は、この１冊のみで合格証を手に入れました。
なお、この本は、試験対策だけで終わらせてはもったいないほど「環境」について適当なボリュームで、初学者が「環境」を考える手がかりになる本です。
合格した今、もう一度読み返そうと思っています。

　2006年10月に始まった環境社会検定試験eco検定は、2008年7月試験で4回目を迎え
ますが、その回から改定版公式テキストである本書に基づいて試験問題が作成されます。
　
　eco検定は、2008年7月の試験で第4回目を迎える、まだ非常に新しい検定試験という
こともあり、試験形式としてもまだ安定しておらず、難易度も基本的には上昇すると
見込まれます。よって、本試験対策としては、同東京商工会議所発行の、本書の姉妹書
である公式問題集で演習するだけではなく、本書を熟読する作業も必要になってきます。
　
　ただ、本試験に合格するためだけに勉強することは非常にもったいなく、空虚である
と思います。私達は、営利性、利便性、効率性を求める際限のない営みにより、地球規模
で環境を破壊し、今まででは考えられなかったような弊害を生じさせています。
　これらの弊害を引き起こしているのは、我々人類であることを自覚し、この美しく、
かけがえのない地球を次の世代にも残していかなくてはなりません。
　今までよりももっと大きい地域で、多くの人が環境に対して目を向ける、大事にしよう
とする、そういう動機づけをすることに、このeco検定の本当の意義があると思います。

EA21審査人の学科試験用に買いました。
本誌と環境プランナーBasicを参考書代わりにしましたが、環境問題や国際的な取組み等の知識を得るのに大いに役立ちました。専門性よりも間口を広く取っているのが特徴。
