　自宅サーバーを立ち上げ、様々なアクセスを受けて始め、セキュリティ対策の必要性を実感して本書を手に取りました。

　本書はセキュリティ対策の対象ごとに、なぜ対策が必要か、どんな危険があるかを、図解してわかりやすく教えてくれます。　しかしどんな対策をどのような手順で施さなければならないか・・・という点については、初心者の私には難解な部分が多かった。（結局、インターネットでの情報検索と併用しました）

　図解も多く、読み込めば理解度はかなり向上すると思いますが、少しばかり重く大きい書籍なので、気軽に持ち歩けない点が残念でした。

本のタイトルのごとく本当に絵で理解わかります。文章も理解されやすいように記述されています。
タイトルにセキュリティと記述されていますが、企業でメールサーバーやDNS、WEBサーバー、プロキシサーバーを構築する上でそれぞれのサーバーがどのような仕組みで動作してお互いにどのように関係し合っているのかわかってきます。
１つ2つのLinuxサーバーはセットアップしたことあるけど、いざ企業全体で運用する基本サーバー群を構築するとなると、どんな設定や構成をすべきかわからない方は、経験がない方はこの本を読むことです。
私も実際の構築・運用が未経験の頃に30冊ほど参考書を買って勉強しまいたが、この本はよくまとまっており購入して損をすることはありません。出版からだいぶ時間が経っていますが、基礎を知ってから応用をやってみたい初心者や中級者は絶対役立ちます。

Linux/セキュリティともに初心者でも分かりやすい絵図がついており、インストールから設定まで親切にコマンド付きで解説されているので実践向きの本です。
