　比較的よく知られた「無垢・経験の詩」「天国と地獄の結婚」などのみならず、日本ではあまり翻訳されることのないいわゆる長編予言詩、更には生前のブレイクが他人の本に為した書き込みまでも完全に網羅したボリュームたっぷりの「全著作集」です。

　そのボリュームには圧倒されるものがあるのですが、いかんせん翻訳機にかけたような直訳が非常に読みづらいです。　オリジナルに忠実に句読点などを省くのは結構ですが、文と文の間にスペースも入れられていないので、落書きでも読んでいるかのような気分になります。　それに、そういった言語的に難解な部分への解説も殆どなされていません（「このテキストは~~」といった資料そのものについての解説はあるのですが）。　これでは原文を知らない読者には読むに耐えないと思います。　有名かつ比較的簡単な「無垢と経験の詩」等にしても寿岳文章さんの訳の方がはるかに美しいです。

　原文を読んでいて、ブレイクについての知識がそこそこにある研究者の方が資料として参考にするのには良いかもしれません。
