読み返しています。
この作者さんの作品はどれもスキですがこちらもとてもいい作品です。
絵の感じもいいしコマ割やトーンの使い方もよいです。
お話は２作品収録で表題作は大学教授だったお父さんの息子さんとその
お父さんの助手さんのお話。描き下ろしもあって良かったです。
もう１つは前後編で高校時代の友達と１０年ぶりに再会したときから始まる
お話。　どちらも甲乙つけられないくらいいいです。

読んで損はないと思うので迷われているなら是非。

歌の一文を元にしたストーリーとは粋ですね。

好きだった人と同じ声、同じ言葉を紡ぐ大和にどうしようもなく惹かれてしまう小野寺、身代わりなのかと傷つく大和。

それぞれの切ない気持ち、二人の間に流れる空気感が静かに染み渡っていくようです。

最後に登場する歌は、実際に心はあなたに寄り添っていたのに・・・という意味だそうです。

短編なのが惜しいくらい読ませてくれる一冊でした。

その他、友人の結婚式で再会した元同級生が収録されてます。

友人以上の関係にあった新太。自分の気持ちの葛藤に悩む二人の切なさが胸にきます。

心情描写がとてもすばらしい作家さんだと思います。

それは父親の葬儀から始まった。

大和が父親の遺品整理で関わるようになった美しい青年。

彼は誰をおもっていたのか?

太陽のような大学生と決して手に入らない水面に映る月のような男。

木下さんらしい夜の匂い、やはらかな狂気、消えることのない燠火のような想い。 「キスブルー」の店長サイドの木下さんが好きな人間には中盤まで堪えられない展開。


ただ、半ばをすぎ、ラストの邂逅にいたるまでがかけ足になったのが残念。


併収作品も良かったのですが、木下さんは逡巡などの言葉にならない「余白」が特徴的な作家さんのひとりなので欲を言えばそれぞれを一冊の単行本でじっくり読んでみたかった。
