本書は「超」怖い話シリーズを長年に渡って引っ張ってこられた平山夢明氏が関わる最後の一冊となる。

グロ描写が特徴のごとく語られることの多い平山氏であるが、本作では刺激を押さえた文章の中に緊迫感
が迫る筆致が秀逸である。また本作の最終話は、短編ながら平山氏の本来評価されるべき持ち味が十分に
出ている。静かな中に余韻の残る文章こそ平山氏の本領である。
新シリーズを手がけるという平山氏の今後のご活躍にも期待したい。

また超１出身の共著者、久田樹生氏、松村進吉氏も前作に比べて文章の硬さが取れ、読者をより深く怪異
へ引き込む文章になってきた。これから本シリーズの屋台骨となるお二人の今後にも期待が膨らむ内容と
なっている。

読後の満足感が大きい一冊です。

一回目はその濃密でショッキングな話にとにかく麻痺しますが、本作は一回読み終えて二回目読むと不思議な味わいがあります。
一話一話メリハリがあって著者ごとの味が出てきます。
オチがわかってからが本当の超怖い話Μ。

平山夢明氏、久田樹生氏、松村進吉氏の共著。
それぞれが、各１０本を執筆。

内容は、何も、幽霊話ではない。
それでも、背後に、霊的な所業を、少し想像してしまう。
実話であろうとなかろうと、ひしひしとした現実感は、あまり強くない。
それでも、内容のまとまりが良いので、じわっとした怖さだ。

本書は、比較的マイルドだ。
あまり猟奇的ではないが、適度に常軌を逸している。
刺激の強過ぎる物語はちょっと、、、というホラーファンには、丁度良い内容だ。

一時のホラーブームで、猟奇的描写の、暴走があった様に思う。
本書には、節度を取り戻した、一定の怖さがある。

落ち着くべき所に、落ち着いた感のある一冊だ。
