小さい頃「小公女セーラ」が非常にお気に入りだった私にとっては
主題歌のCDまでついているこの小説は非常にお買い得で，よい買い物でした。

私はすでに「小公女」（日本語版）も持っていたのですが，
原作版のセーラとアニメ版のセーラでは微妙に性格なども違っているので
「小公女セーラ」が好きな方には特にこちらがおすすめでしょう。

また，主題歌のＣＤがついているというのは大きいのでは無いでしょうか？
（OPとEDがフルコーラス，オリジナル原盤使用で収録されていました．）

勿論，原作版をお持ち／読んだことがある方にも，
違いを楽しめるという意味でおすすめの一冊です！

大人の視点で見ても、経営者の視点で見ても、人道的な視点から見ても、ミンチン先生の発言や行動は正当化できません。主人公のお父さんがなくなって、学費の目処が立たなくなり、退校にするのであれば仕方ない、経営者としては妥当な判断です。学校に留めておくというのは、人道的に正しい判断です。ただし、学校にとどめておいたのが、人道的配慮からでなく、主人公をいじめぬいたのも主人公がその気になれば学校を飛び出して、学校でどんな仕打ちをうけているか伝えたり、クラスメートの保護者に訴えることも可能であったことを考えると、ミンチン先生の行動には一貫性が全然ありません。手元に主人公を置いておくなら、それまで同様りっぱに教育し卒業させて、主人公があちこちでこんなに素敵な学校だったと言って周るようにするのが投資という意味も含めて経営者としては正しい一貫性のある行動だったと思います。女が弱い時代だったからしかたないだとか、主人公がいじめたくなるような人間だったなどという理由でミンチン先生を肯定するのは全くもってナンセンス。
このお話のキモはどんなにつらくとも、人を憎まず、運命を呪わず、人らしさを失わないようにしている主人公の強さであって、ハッピーエンドはおまけみたいなもの。たとえ不幸な結末だったとしても、作品のすばらしさは変わらないでしょう。目先の損得勘定で人を計ったらいけないっていう警告も含まれているとみてもいいのかな。

すばらしい内容だと思います。
読み手を飽きさせず、とてもうまくまとめていると思います。
アニメのときはただ、セーラの不幸さに歯がゆさを感じていただけですが、この小説は不幸には違いないと思いますけど、アニメとはニュアンスが違うんです。伝わり方が違うんです。涙を誘うんです。
私はアニメよりこの小説の方をお勧めしたいです。

原作の「小公女」も読みましたが、これは読みにくかったです。（笑）
