「漫画」というジャンルは、日本が真に世界に誇って良いサブカルチャーだと
常々思っています。その中身の濃さ・おもしろさ・演出・ストーリー・扱う
テーマの幅広さ・表現方法・芸術性・完成度・層の厚さなど、外国の作品の
追随を許さない文化になっているのは間違いないが、この漫画を読むと改めて

それを実感させてくれます。多分この「自虐の詩」は、元々はこの下巻のよう
な展開にしようとは作者は考えていなかったのではないか。上巻までは、社会
のやや底辺近くを懸命に生きる不幸好きの女性の、笑えるドツボ人生を軽い
タッチで描いていくつもりだったような気がするが、下巻に入って、主人公の

過去をフラッシュバックで入れ始めてから、物語は急展開を見せ、ラストの
大感動シー!ンへ「静かに」なだれ込んでいく・・・。
久しぶりに漫画を読んで泣きました。
こういう作り方が出来る漫画・もしくは同レベルの作品がまだ他にもたくさん
あるんだという事を考えると、まだまだ日本も捨てたもんじゃないって思うの
は大袈裟でしょうか？　

大人の方、是非読んで下さい。

この漫画、そんなに話題になっているとは知らなかった。
注目するイラストレーターと映画監督がいいと言うのを聞いたので読んでみた。

上巻を読み終えると沈んだ気分になった。内田春菊氏の解説を読んでもしっくりこなかった。
しかし、下巻の借金取りのおじさんの休日辺りからどんどん引き込まれていった。

上巻ではギャグとしか見えなかった画の、おじさんの顔の底深さに感動した。
そして、過去と現在を交錯させながら進む物語のラストには嗚咽した。
春菊氏の言葉の意味がわかった。

暗くて陰惨に思えた上巻の内容が意味を持った。
これまで私は幸江のような幸せは本当の幸せではないと考えていた。

しかし、幸せのカタチは一つではないこと、星の数ほどあることが初めて実感できた。
頭ではわかっていても、心ではわからなかったことを業田氏が見せてくれた。

最後の最後の方、主人公の幸江のおなかが大きくなったあたりから
泣きとおしでした。何がどう、って説明するのは難しいのですが、
上巻から通して、登場人物はなんとなくうだつの上がらない人々の
やっぱりどうにもならない貧乏暮らしのやるせなさばかりが目に付いて
しまったのですが、
普通に辛い人生、普通に苦しい人生を送っている中でなにに幸せを

感じて何に生きがいを感じるのか、そんな深いテーマを言葉や映像、
伝記物語でもなんでもなく、４コマ漫画の世界観の中で、シミジミ
「生きてるってええことなんやな。それこそが意味あるんねや」と
泣けちゃいました。人生で辛い思いして、そして今ちょっとそれを
乗り越えつつある人。そんな人が初心を忘れずにどんな歓びを感じながら

生きていこうかな？そんな時に心の友になりそうな本です。
私ももちろんその一人です。うつ病真っ只中だった時に読んだら、
素直に受け止められたかなぁ？うーん、自信は無い。。。
