   本書の表紙には「売り上げを100倍にする」「これからの10年、Webで稼げ！」と扇情的な言葉が並ぶが、内容は極めてオーソドックスなSEO解説書である。数値データの出自が明らかでないため信憑性に欠ける部分もあるが、大筋ではSEOの重要性について具体的に説明している。「第3章　集客力のあるWebをつくる」では、SEOの基本的な技法を扱っており、すぐにでもSEOを始められるようになっている。さらに、ユーザビリティやユニバーサルデザインなど、Web制作時の留意点にも触れている。

   引用も少なくなく、すでにWeb制作のノウハウをある程度知っている人には物足りなかったり、恣意的な印象を与えたりするかもしれないが、短時間でSEOの概念を理解しようとしている人や、SEOの重要性をWebに詳しくない上司に説明しようとしている人にはよい教材となるだろう。（大脇太一）

本のタイトル通り、SEOって何？という初心者を
ターゲットにしています。
初心者でも読みやすくという配慮のためか、
各項目をコンパクトにかつ平易にまとめているものの、
突然難しい用語（この本のターゲットが理解しているとは
思えない用語）が注もなく出てきたりして
果たして入門者がこの本を読んで理解できるか
どうか？

また、この程度の質・量であれば
ウェブ上でも容易に入手できる情報であり、
書籍としての価値は？です。
