Virtual Infrastructureを使用しており、付属ドキュメントである程度の運用管理はできているつもりでしたが、VMFSの容量設計や可用性・パフォーマンスを考慮したネットワーク構成など実践的なノウハウが掲載されており大変役に立ちました。
VI3運用管理をされる方にはおすすめです。

SEをしていますが、VMware関連の案件があったときに購入しました。すべて読んだわけではないのですが、PlayerやWorkstationを利用している人にはあまり参考にならず、ほとんどESX利用者用の一冊です。

最初にVMware Serverの説明がありますが、ほぼVI3を網羅しています。
(ESXiにも触れています。)

構築から運用に至るまで現場で使えるものばかりです。
ところどころに記載されてるコラムも必読です。
