Domino系の開発本は少ないので本書はとても貴重な存在です
中身はというと、かなり丁寧な記述になっています
ただ注意して欲しいのが、言語本ではないということです
なのでロータススクリプト等の言語を覚えるには向きません
使い道としては、イベント類やプロパティの把握などです
私は、使用しているDominoが英語なので意味を得るのに活用しています

VBが出来る人がロータスな世界へ入ってくるのには良い１冊です

Lotusの開発に挑戦したことがあります。
ちょうど時期がわるく、WEBへの移行過程だったので、つぎつぎに技術が変わり、手に負えなくなってしまいました。

毎回導入と設定の繰り返しで、どうしてそうなったかが分からないままでした。
Designer6になってからは、安定したようにお聞きしていますが、その後本がでていないのが残念です。

会社の事情でNotesの6で開発しなければならない人はこの本を買おうとする人が多いからか、中古ではとんでも無い価格になっている。が、あくまでこの本は入門書であり大枚はたいて買っても当初の定価分の価値しか出版元も責任を取れない。実用的なアプリケーションを作成しようと思えば、英書になるが結局Domino Designer 6: A Developer's Handbookを手元においておく必要がある。高騰した価格はあくまで市場の理論であってこの本の本来の価値でない事と留意したおいた方が良い。
