CCNAやCCNPの試験に十分に役に立てることができる一冊だと思います。
ただ、あくまでも概念的ものなので実機による設定例などは、
きちんとした試験対策本が必要です。
試験うんぬんを別にすると、各プロトコルが豊富な図解付で
とてもよく解説してあります。
中級者/初心者の方が持っていて邪魔になるような
本ではないと思います。

図表が豊富、説明が丁寧。
初心者向けと謳っていますが、けっこう突っ込んだ内容もあります。
（例えばIGRPのメトリックの計算はCCNAレベルではないです）
スイッチとルーティングプロトコルに特化した分、
プロトコルの一つひとつの動作の仕組みが
流れを追って理解できるように書かれてあります。
スパニングツリーやVLANの動きなんか特にそうです。

忘れた頃にまた手にしたくなる本です。

ネットワークのルーティングプロトコル、スイッチの構造、等非常に判り易くかかれている。特に、図式にて色々説明されているので理解し易く、親切な構成になっている。初心者から中級者まで、持っていて損の無い本だと思います。
