昭和29年横浜市生まれ。元学生本因坊。東京大学法学部卒業。日本興業銀行を退職後プロ棋士に転身。56年棋道賞『新人賞」。平成12年九段。平成20年東京大学教養学部客員教授就任。NHKテレビの囲碁講座で人気を博し、東京渋谷の『東急セミナーBE』で囲碁教室講師、東京大学教養学部で囲碁講座を受け持つ。入門者から有段者まで、アマチュア指導の第一人者。

ヒカルの碁とタッグを組んだ入門書! なぜ今までなかったのでしょうか!?
初歩のルール〜19路盤の打ち方まで、丁寧な解説図で小学生にもわかりやすい内容になっています。
ヒカル、佐為、アキラが大事なポイントをアドバイスしてくれるので楽しく読み進められそうです。
残念な点は…
カットは豊富ですが、漫画は載っていません。
インターネット碁コラムが載っていると本紹介で見て期待しましたが、「まえがき」に少しだけでした。
小学生低学年から読めるように漢字に「ふり仮名」がふってあれば☆5つでした。
でも!面白かったので「進級編10〜1級」「初段合格編」など続刊が出たらいいのになと思います。
上級の子供向けの本が少ないので…。

子供達が囲碁をやろうと言うので購入してみたが、
読みやすく、わかりやすいですね。

これまで囲碁の本は、どれも難しそうで、
読むことさえ断念していたが、
これでようやく行けそうですよ！?(笑)
