本屋でぱらぱらめくったとき、なにやら難しそうな内容にどうせ挫折するだろうと思いつつも購入した。が、この手の本にしては大変分かりやすい説明で挫折することもなく半分まで読み進めることが出来た。スクリプトを眺めて分からなくとも「どうせ分かりやすい説明が後にあるのだから」と安心して進められる。内容が高度でありながら初学者の立場に立って押さえどころやつまずきやすいポイントを丁寧に拾って説明してくれる。かつてこんな本があっただろうか。「そう、そこを説明してほしかったんだよ」と何度ひざを叩いたことか。プロでなくてもプロに一歩近づける希望の書だと思う。趣味でもプロ級を目指す人に！

私はこの本で勉強5冊目のFlash初心者です。
さらに数学は高校時「数1・A」すら理解出来なかった。
でもこの本は理解出来ました。

というよりも、
この本をやりながら数学・物理を勉強したかったくらいです。

何に使うかわからない数式をただ漫然と覚えるのが苦痛で
数学に挫折しました。
でも、この本を読みながら実際に数式が美しく表現されると
自然と数学に興味が湧き、勉強する意欲が出てきます。

もちろん、本による秀逸な解説があってこそです。

数学・物理表現をしている方々がどのような思考で
どのようなソースを書いているのかがよくわかりました。
かなり良い本です。

FLASH入門者には厳しいかも知れません。
ですが、入門書を何冊か読んだのち、
書きながらFLASHを覚えたいと言う方にはうってつけです。
（私は、教えてシリーズ2冊、速習Webテクニック実例サンプル60、を先にやりました。）

ActionScriptの辞書（もしくは検索結果）を片手に
取り組みましたが、かなりいい勉強になりました。

Flashの勉強はもちろんのこと
数学・物理を（プログラムで）学びたい人にも強くオススメします。

Flashを使っていろんなことを表現してみたい人には超おすすめです。
中村勇吾や深津貴之の作品を見て、「かっこいいなー、どうやって作ってんだ？」と思っている人は一読の価値ありだと思います。
マウスの動きから回転角度を計算する方法や重力や摩擦係数をFlash上で
表現する方法がかなり丁寧に書いてあります。どうやってWebコンテンツに活かすかで面白い表現はいくらでも考えられるようになると思います。
ただ、入門編なのであまりつっこんだ使い方は紹介されていません。
実践編が出るのか、楽しみな1冊。
