この本は、
「ユーザビリティの良いサイトが構築できる」
技法の紹介本ではありません。
「ユーザビリティの良いサイトにするにはテストをしないと駄目」
という事を教えてくれる本です。

テストは重要だという当たり前の事。
それでいて時間が取れないでスキップしてしまう事の重要性を、
全ページに渡って延々と書きつづっています。

では、つまらないかというとそうでもなく･･･
翻訳本で読みにくく、著者特有の鼻に付く言い回しもありますが、
ユーザービリティの向上を日夜考えている方々は、
面白く最後まで読み進めることが出来ると思いますよ。
週刊誌を読むように、サクサクと読み終わります。

シンプルな指摘で分かりやすい内容だった。
堅い内容を連想していたが、そうではなくシンプルで分かりやすい内容だった。
読みやすい本。

著者は、ユーザビリティ性のあるデザインとは「何もかもが一目瞭然であること」、

すなわち「ユーザーに考えさせないように」することが最も重要な原則だと言っている。

また、ユーザビリティ性のあるデザインにするためには、ユーザビリティテストを

行うことが重要なキーであり、著者はそのテストを行うための方法を惜しみなく

丁寧に書いてくれている。

近年、システム開発には切っても切れない縁となってきたWeb開発ですが、

多くの現場ではユーザインタフェースの向上にまで本気で力を入れているところは

まだそう多くはないようです。

本書を手に取ったのをきっかけに、ユーザビリティを意識することができる開発者が

増えたらいいなと思いました。（自分も含めて。。。）
