『メイド』を使っていても、安易に萌えを狙う方向ではないのが良い。
作者が、自分なりのスケバン刑事を書きたかったというだけあって、
雰囲気も十分。

ただ惜しむらくは、スケバン刑事を狙いすぎていてか、
小道具の使い方に、少々腑に落ちないようなところがある。

特に(ネタバレになっちゃいますが)『メイドの土産』のくだり。
その辺でもうちょっと落ちがつけば、とても面白い作品になったと思う。

正直、今のままの小道具の使い方なら、次巻を読みたいとは思わない。

はやりのメイドがでてくるお色気ギャグ路線かと思ったら、硬派路線でびっくり。
なんというか、随所にレトロで笑える部分があるが、それでもまじめにドラマしているところが好感持てます。
主人公葵のプロ意識もいいですね。
ちょっとあっさり風味ですが、続きも追いかけてみたくなるような良作。
オススメです。
映像化するなら、ライトノベルでおきまりのアニメではなく、実写でやってほしいなぁ。

それにしても、冥土の一里塚ってどこから出すんだろう？？？

タイトルにメイドという単語が入っていますが、萌えを期待する方よりも燃えたい方におすすめ。
短編連作というか、一章ごとに完結する体裁で書かれているので、読み易い部分はあると思います。
ですが、そのせいか起承転結でいえば「承」の部分が少し弱いかな？と思いました。それと表紙をめくってすぐの口絵のイラストがものすごいネタバレになっているのもかなり気になりました。
