「失敗やミスをやらかしても、
それをきちんと省察することによってその後に活かそう」
失敗学を簡単に言うと、こういう事であると著者は記述。

・人は失敗をやらかすもの
・失敗を隠そうとするのは自然の心理
・失敗をくり返さないための仕組みづくり

これが「失敗を活かす」為に意識すべき大切な３つの観点。

「人間は失敗するものである」
「失敗はなくならない」
「失敗をゼロにする」は出発点が間違っている
「精神論や管理強化で対処しようとしても不毛」
「しなくてもよい失敗を起こさせない仕組み作り」

これらの重要なポイントを具体的な事例から説く。
やや冗長で後半はダレル部分はありますが、
「失敗学」の入門書としては最適な１冊だと思う。

同書を読んだ後、「失敗百選」を読むと効果的と思う。

読み物としては、まあまあです。
ただ、あまり新しいことがなかったかな。
「失敗をゼロにする」ことは無理だとわかっていたので
では、どうしてゼロにならないか、どうしたら
いいのかを知りたかったのでちょっと残念。
しかも、新書でページが限られているのに、
話が時々脱線してしまうのはどうかなと思います。
他の失敗関係の本の方が面白いと思いましたが、
「私は全く失敗なんかしないよ」という考えの方には
お奨めします。

3.0 out of 5 stars タイトルとは違いますが、「失敗学」を理解できる良い本です。, 2007/4/7
最近良く聞く「失敗学」について読んでみたくて、購入しま
した。いかにも新書らしく、話題の掘り下げあまりないので
すが、失敗学について幅広く語られており、入門書としては
非常に有益でした。

不満な点としては、タイトル。「労災ゼロ」等の世の中の事
故をゼロにする運動やシックマグマなどの品質向上運動を検
証していくのかと期待したのですが、そのような視点ではま
ったく語られていませんでした。新書の特徴を生かして、最
近の社会の事例を取り上げた方が良いと思います。あまりに
有名な事例に固執している感じがしました。この著者、もし
かしたら、このテーマにそれほど詳しくない気もちょっとし
ました・・・

良い点は、最初に述べた通り、「失敗学」について幅広く知
ることができることです。最終章の「失敗したら威張って〜」
もそうですが、日本的な「臭いものに蓋をする」体質を批判
し、「失敗」をポジティブに捉えようとする啓蒙書としても
面白いです。
