一時期、天体マニアの間で話題になた本です。早速購入し、一読したのですが、どうも辻褄の合わないところや、文章に不自然なところが多く、あまり感心しませんでした。　先月、ニューヨークで原書を求め、帰りの飛行機で熟読して疑問が氷解しました。あまりに誤訳が多いのです。英文自体は簡潔明快ですので、テクニカルタームを調べる暇さえあれば原書に当たることをお勧めします。評者には著者の個人的感傷がやや鼻につくので、原書は四つ☆　訳本はさらに☆減で三つ
