攻略を求めてこの本を買うと、失敗する確率が高いかと思います。
ただ淡々と数行の攻略情報を並べているだけで、しかもあまり役に立つ情報はなく、正攻法ばかりなので、結局ゲームは普通にプレイするしかないという始末。
ファンブックとしても、開発の裏話や設定資料があるわけでもなく、まったく価値がないといっても過言ではないでしょう。
極めつけは攻略本だというのに、攻略法が不明な情報があるということ。ゲームの半値近い値段ですが、はっきり言ってその価値はないです。

シンプル2000シリーズでありながら大迫力であると人気を集めた「地球防衛軍２」の攻略本。
内容はかなり微妙。全71ステージを淡々と攻略していくがその内容は到底やりこんでいるとは思えない。
例えばステージ８「千機襲来」は中央の橋の右の対岸で戦えば
全く反撃を受けずに戦え、それを利用して序盤から強力な武器が稼げるとか
ステージ２１「侵食」で出現する巣の位置を覚えて先回りすれば
巣の中にくい込んでそのままコントローラーを固定すると自動稼ぎができるとか
そういった重要事項がまるで書いていない。

一応武器リストがあってこれはありがたいのだが、ただ淡々とデータを並べてあるだけ。
このゲームでの武器の強さは一発の威力、速射性、弾数、リロード時間を
総合しての戦略的火力で見なければ正確な強さは分からない。

まぁ最終ページにある武器のチェックリストだけは役に立ったが
攻略の内容に関しても武器データもネットで遥かに詳しい情報が手に入るので
必要かどうかは微妙。ソフト本体の半値以上の価値があるかどうかは分からない。

このゲームは、「武器を選択」→「ひたすら撃つ！」
攻略としては　武器の選択と防御力を高める「アーマー収集」が
重要であり、地形を利用する攻略法など　ほとんどない内容ですから
攻略本としては　あまり役立つ事は期待できません。
しかも　全71ステージあるのに　この本の薄さ･･･。
全ページ　オールカラーでもないのに　少し高価ではないでしょうか。
「地球防衛軍」の虜になった方が　コレクションとして買うのには
いいと思います。
