まず、わかりやすいですね。改訂してさらに読みやすく、初心者に配慮した構成が良いです。この本は、問題がないので、辞書的に使用できるかもしれません。この本をステップアップの土台として、たくましいプログラマになってほしい。そんな本だと思います。
C言語を何も知らない新人さんは、ビギナーから見た方が良いですよ。
また、C言語のほとんどの機能は記載してあります。ちなみに、応用編は必要ないでしょう。他の実践書を読んだ方が良いですよ。
私も新人のころや、今でもぱらぱらめくっています。

とりあえず入門編のＣ言語の本を読んだ人は次はこれがよいです。小生が読んだＣ言語の本で最高の評価を与えていいと思っています。それは、まずこの本の版数が多いことが示しているでしょう。多くの版数を重ね、さまざまな人の意見が入っていると感じました。使いやすさも秀逸です。実際のコードで動かしてみないとわからないようなことが、本書内にこの場合はこの値が帰ると明確に書かれていて、教育や開発時にいつも手元に置いておきたい本です。買ってみて損は無いと思います。
Ｃ言語初心者のかたの利用もよいですが、中級~上級の方に特にお勧めです。

会社のソフト部署（自分はハード部署だった）の方々を含め、ホント色んな人の机にあった本。
私も買いました。本当にわかりやすく、良い本だと思います。ビギナー編と一緒に愛用しています。
もっと早くに知っていれば、C言語嫌いにならなかったと思います。
（嫌いになったのはあの有名な本です。）
とにかくお奨めです。
