　この本には8種類のゲームについての解説があります。262ページで8つのジャンルについて解説しているので説明はどうしても不足します。またゲームを作ろうと思う人に、たとえば「ロールプレイングゲームとは？」といった説明が要るでしょうか。おそらく普通ならRPGを作りたいと思って本を探すと思います。だとすると、RPGがどういうジャンルかといった説明は不要です。これによってさらに貴重なページがコラムに割かれています。

　内容は、C言語とPascalでゲームの解説があります。実際にコードできちんと示されていますが、上述の通り内容が圧倒的に不足しています。途中までは参考になるなと思っていても、突然次のジャンルの説明に切り替わってしまい欲求不満になります。これでは初心者は途方に暮れてしまうでしょう。

　ゲームの構造について興味のあるゲーマーならば面白いかも知れません。しかし、プログラマにとっては役に立つ本ではないと思います。

この本では、個々のジャンルのゲーム開発の大まかな流れが説明されています。あと気をつけるべきところが説明されています。

これだけを読めばゲームを作れるというものではありませんが、このような少し大きな視点で書かれた本は見たことがなかったのでいいと思います。

詳細な開発手法（タスクシステムなど）は、他の本で補うといいのでは。

タイトルどおり最高ですね。
最高に楽しめました。言語そのものよりアルコリズムに重点をおいているので
難しいことが余りわからない僕でも結構楽しめましたね。
