息子の書いた原作を父親が監督して映画化（『鑑識・米沢守の事件簿』。いや、かっちりと作ってあって面白かった！）、という意味でも珍しいケースとなった前作に続き、米沢を主人公に据えたスピンオフ・ノベル第２弾。前作に若干あったカタさというか気負っている感じも取れ、ハセベバクシンオー氏のペン運びは、すこぶる快調。それは読む側であるこちらにも伝わってきて、短い時間で一気にガシガシと読めてしまったのでした。
休暇をとってイギリス旅行中の右京さん―それに合わせて彼の“相棒”も休みをとっている、という設定。登場しないし、誰なのかもわからないので「ひょっとして薫ちゃん？」とか、脳内補完も可能―をはじめ、前作とは違って『相棒』ワールドの常連たちが総登場！　というわけではないけれど、登場のさせ方が………！　これはもう、読んでいただくしかない！　一方、ゲストキャラは女性が目立つ印象で、時にちょっと『トゥルー・コーリング』あたりを思わせるノリもあったりで楽しい（となると米沢は“熊先生”か？）。
『土曜ワイド劇場』枠でもいいので、こちらもぜひ、映像化をお願いしたいところです。
まぁ、前作およびその映画同様、さまざまな意見もあるでしょうが、『相棒』好きなら必読の一冊として、断固オレは☆５つとさせていただきます。

『相棒』好きの心情をよーくわかってくれてる、ハセベバクシンオー氏に乾杯！

幻の女房よりこっちの方が面白かったし、鑑識技術をフルに使ってる気がしました。ぜひ映画化か、ドラマ化してほしいです。最後にあの人が出てくるとは驚きです。しかもギャグまで・・・

推理小説好きの方なら推理モノとしては甘いと思われるかもしれませんが、この作品はむしろ推理する過程(ひらめきによる推理でなく、いかに状況証拠のみで解明するか)や、米沢守ほか登場人物たち活躍を楽しむ作品だと思います。


ドラマではお馴染みのキャラクターもソツなく、かつツボをちゃんと押さえて登場させるハセベバクシンオー先生は、おそらく『相棒』を広く深く愛してらっしゃるんだなと感じさせる文体は非常に好感をもちます(そりゃ映画化にもなります(笑))

また下手に書くと、ただ知識の羅列になり、イヤミったらしくなりがちな分析シーンの説明も、とても読みやすくスンナリと頭に入ります。


この作品も映像化なるのでしょうか?

もちろん小説『鑑識・米沢守の事件簿』もさらに次回作を期待します。

『相棒』ファンは必読ですよ。
