高村ファンにとってはたまらない本だろう。特に合田雄一郎ファンにとっては「素晴らしいニュース」も含まれているし。ただし、高村薫未読の人や、１冊ぐらいしか読んでいない人にとってはちょっととっつき難いかもしれない。それと、読本にしては詳細な著者年表が入っていないのも不満ではある。しかしそれ以外はおおむね満足一部大満足の出来である。編集の皆さんには｢ご苦労様でした｣といいたい。

これから秋にかけて｢レディージョーカー｣の映画化等でまたぞろ高村薫が話題にのぼるかもしれない。しかし基本的にはそれだけでこの本を手に取ると痛い目に会う。私でもまだ読むのは先にしたほうがいいかな、という特集があった。特に冒頭の爆笑問題太田光インタビューはまだいいとして、第二特集の高村薫と竹内洋の対談は｢晴子情歌」を読んでいない私には非常に読み辛かった。その辛さも高村薫の魅力ではあるのだが。

高村薫の本が出るとは、うれしい驚きです。私は根っからの高村ファンですから、思わず手に取りました。内容はなかなか読み応えがあって、これまたうれしさ倍増。爆笑問題の太田光インタビューや映画『レディ･ジョーカー』撮影現場突撃取材ルポ、高村薫×竹内洋の対談などの読み物から、七つのキーワードで読み解く高村作品や創作秘話など、高村ワールドの裏と表がぎっしり。本人自らが語るロングインタビューも人となりが感じられて興味深いものでした。高村ファンはぜひ読んでみましょう。世界が一気に広がります。

レビューは他の方がされているので補足的な話ですが、この本には高村薫作品の登場人物紹介も掲載されています。
一人ひとり簡単なプロフィール付で、イラストは「ハチミツとクローバー」「３月のライオン」の羽海野チカ先生が描かれています。イメージとピッタリの人もいれば、ちょっと違うかなーと思う人もいて、面白いですよ。
