最近、引越しをした。
あまりの荷物の多さに我ながらあきれた。
「もったいない」という気持ちが捨てることをためらわせる。
しかし、使わずにいつかは捨てるはめになることが多い。

この本を読むと、「捨てたい」気持ちが高まる。
案外、必要なものは少ないのだ。

ものを処分する気持ちよさ。

さらに「もったいない」と思わないためにモノを買わない、貰わない、といった生活へ今後は変わっていけそうだ。

ただ、発行されたのが４年前なので、処分方法などの情報は古さを感じる点もある。

昔から物が捨てられず困っておりましたが、この本に出会ったことで
だいぶ物を減らせるようになりました。私のバイブルです。
考え方一つで、今まで捨てられない大切だと思っていた物を
捨てることができるようになり、それと同時に
ただ貯めておくだけだったものの価値を再認識させられました。
今では大掃除の度に読み返しています。

他界した親族の家屋解体のため、遺品を捨てにすてた時、この本に書かれているこの言葉とおりのことになった。
何故溜めこむのか？溜めこむわけではないが、「使うかも」という心理でとっておくことが積もり積もると最後には大量の「捨てるもの」になってしまう。

技術とタイトルに掲げられているが、収納方法とタイトルに付いている物にくらべたらかなり抽象的かもしれない。…勿論、捨てるより溜める方が楽だからだ。
より捨てやすくする為のアドバイス、選別方法等、参考になった。私自身、ゴミを残して死ぬことにならないように心がけてみたいと思う。
