単純なサイバーテロではなく、
実はそれが誘発した人為的ミスという、
実に巧妙なメッセージを織り込んだおもしろい内容にもかかわらず、
どうでもいい、長ったらしい記述が多く、
ぽんぽんストーリーを読むのを邪魔している。
これが実際に起きたノンフィクションなら、
登場する人物のディテールとか背景とかは、
貴重な資料的価値を持って読者に読まれるだろうけど、
フィクションなんだから、ストーリーのおもしろさを生かした、
テンポのよさを心掛けた適度な長さにとどめてほしい。

途中あまりにかったるいのでどんどん読み飛ばしていっても
ストーリーは十分楽しめる。
書き方を再考して欲しい作家だと思う。

復讐に燃えるキャサリンが事件を起こす展開は、何となくシドニィ･シェルダンを読んでるよう。
一応川瀬雅彦シリーズって事になってるけど、この物語における彼の役割り(必要性)がイマイチ見えない。
なので、これまでのシリーズを読まなくても十分に楽しめます。

専門的な分野で天才的な才能を発揮している人の歯車がひとたび狂うととんでもないことをやらかしてしまう...さらにそれが痴情の縺れによる一時の感情やいまだにルールが整備されていないインターネットを媒介した時の怖さ。ハイテクといいながら結局は間違いを犯すことを前提とした人間が作り出したものに完璧なものはないのだということを考えさせられてしまいました。
最後、もうちょっとスピード感と緊張感があったら五つ星だったんですが...
