モンゴル語なんてどんなものなのか耳にしたこともなく、でも行く機会に恵まれたのでこの本を片手に行ってきました。
中は、手書き風の、見てて楽しくなっちゃうカラフルなイラストと、言葉の数々。
取り上げられている言葉を見てるだけでもモンゴルの風土や習慣などが想像できます。
実際に使うときもほんとに便利でした。モンゴル語の発音も一応カタカナで書いてはあるのですが、日本語にないような音があって、言っても伝わらなかったりもしたので、指差して示してわかってもらうことの方が多かったでした。あちらのかたも楽しそうにいろいろ開いてくれてたりしました。

モンゴルに行く前にこの本を立ち読みし、とても使いやすくて実用的だと感じたので購入して持っていきました。遊牧民の人たちはとても親しみやすい人たちばかりなのでこの本が大活躍。一緒に行った仲間もこの本を利用して多くの人たちと楽しく会話していました。今ではツアーの定番の本としてほとんどの方が持っていっています。
この本で楽しく話せると、日本に帰ってきてからモンゴル語を勉強したくなりますよ。
