小学1年生に読み聞かせをしています。お兄ちゃん、お姉ちゃんのいる子も、また逆の立場の子も心の中で、兄弟への、あこがれ、嫉妬と、自分なりに戦っているはずです。そんな子供達にエールを送ります。子供達は、この本から自分は理解されているんだという安心感を感じるはずです。

できることなら、いつまでもたまごの中にいたい。
お母さんに甘えていたい。みんなにやさしくしていてほしい。
でも、大きくなった君も素敵なんだよ。
子供たちに毎晩せがまれる、お気に入りの絵本です。
特に、たまごにいちゃんがいろんなところに隠れるところがお気に入り。

絵がかわいかったのと、たまごなのがいいのと、それ以上にストーリーの設定がすごく気に入りました。
まわりには社会人になったり、結婚をしている人もいる、25歳。諸事情により、まだ学生をしていて、のんびりなのはいいけど、どこか殻を割るのを躊躇している彼へのクリスマスプレゼントにしようと思ってます！

おとなになるっていうのは、おとなになるそのときに、一番の壁にぶつかるのだと思います。子ども向け、というより同年代の友達に送りたい本です。そして、今まさに、ぶたの鼻に入っている状態の、私を含めたみんなへ。
すてきな大人になりましょう！
