この本は、著者が大腸がんを患ってからぼ４年間のことを綴った本であるが、本来は料理とレシピ満載の「料理本」。術後体験レポートというタイトルから、文字ばかりの印象を持ってしまうが、内容はおいしそうな料理の写真と著者のそのときの気持ちが語りかけるように書かれている。私はこの本を読むというより、視覚的に楽しんだ。辛い場面もある。しかしどんな状況になろうとも、人それぞれ自分の大切なスタイルを守ることが大切、という強いメッセージがおいしそうな料理の写真とともにエッセイからじわじわと伝わってくる。読み終わると、心が温まって不思議と元気が沸いてきた。 料理の写真のデザインはとても工夫されていて、健康な人も食べてみたいおいしいそうなものばかりである。読者を特定しない、新しいエッセイ本といえるだろう。

こんなに素敵な本に出会ったのは初めてです。かなり重たいテーマの本なのに、表紙も中身もとてもナチュラル。体験談を読みながら書かれた方の前向きさや、自然体で生きてるいろいろな思いが熱く心に響きます。家族や大切な方に病気の方がいらしたらぜひ、プレゼントしてあげたいと思う本です。お料理のレシピもすばらしいので参考になります。
心が温かくなりました。感謝。

大切な人が大腸がんになり、何とか「幸せに闘病」できるすべはないかと情報を探していた時にこの本と出会いました。
大腸がんの人はもちろんのこと、おなかからキレイになりたい健康な女性など幅広く参考になる「洒落たレシピ本」だと思います。エッセイ集かと思いきや、おいしそうな写真とレシピが盛りだくさんで、これだけの値段の価値は十分にあると思いました。病気と闘いながらもこんなに素敵な食生活が送れるなんて、目からウロコです。お勧めします。
