気鋭のマーケット・アナリストによる、世界情勢を分析した一冊。
前半部は、覇権国アメリカの凋落を示す事実の分析で
よくまとまっているも新味はない。

しかし後半部にかけては俄然興味深い記述が続く。
筆者は15年以上の長きにわたり、マーケットの最前線に身を置いている。
そのためマーケットからしか感じることのできないであろう、
「覇権の翳り」がつぶさに描かれており、貴重な一種の証言である。

メガバンク勤務にしては大胆な書き振りが目立つ。また、視点としては極端な部類に入るだろう。しかし、それだけにコンセンサスとは異なる見方にであり、読者自身の考え方を形成或いは再確認するには良書だろう。

アメリカの凋落をいかに説明するかが本書の醍醐味であるにもかかわらず、
その説明は所詮、単なる金融マンである。一般うけするかもしれないが、
多少なり学識のある人間からすると、専門的な知見はあまりない。
あくまでも、ひとつの相場観として参考にする程度の書籍である。
