かつて出ていた『みずいろ』全2巻は傑出した表紙の出来で多くの読者を獲得してきました。
品切れ状態が久しく続き、古本での入手を余儀なくされていましたが、今回グレードアップして再刊されました。
サイズもA5判になり、一冊にまとめられボリューム満点です。
連載当時のカラーページや2色ページも再現され、おまけ漫画も完全収録です。
巻末には、前の単行本には無かった短い一篇が追加されています。
作者にとってはやはり「加藤くん」が主人公であったことを如実に物語るものです。できれば｢清美ちゃん」の新作も欲しかったな・・

漫画の中に無理をせずに詩情を持ち込める数少ない漫画家の出世作で、現在の作風の原点といえる作品です。既刊本をお持ちの方も、美しい新本であの夏の風をもう一度楽しんでください。

　大石まさるの原点「みずいろ」の完全版(パーフェクト)。漫画一冊でこの値段は高いと思うかもしれないが、かなりの分厚さで、何も知らずに手に持ったら辞書だと思うくらい。内容は、第０話「かっぱのいた川」から第２０話「みずのいろ」までの全２１話で構成されていて、「かっぱのいた川」と第１１話「特効薬」の最初の６ページがフルカラー、また２色印刷のページも多数収録されている。「教室での彼女はつまらなそうだった。いつも眩しそうに外を見ていて、大きな麦ワラ帽子ひとつ・・・手ブラで学校へ来た。夏である」で始まるこの物語の舞台は日本の古き良き田舎の町、高校卒業を控えた最後の夏を満喫する加藤君と清美ちゃんが主人公。清美ちゃんの天真爛漫な性格が見ていて清々しい。人情あふれるまわりの人々、美しい風景、そよぐ夏の風。まだなにものでもなかった彼らが、確かに感じたこと。読んでいて優しい気持ちになれた。
　難点は、本が大きく分厚いので、寝そべって読むのには不向きなこと。風鈴の音を聴きながら、縁側に腰かけて読むのがおすすめ。

サイズが一回り大きくなり、カラーページが再現され、全２巻だったのが１冊にまとまりと、いい事ずくめなのですが、ただ１つ表題の件だけが残念でなりません。
正確には未収録では無く、トリミングされています。イラストの一部しか見えないので未収録同然です。
でも大好きなお話しです。
