写真の専門的なことは全然わかりませんが、この本の「街」写真は好きです。
見せるための写真というより、自分が楽しいから撮ったというのがよく出てます。
なんのことない坂道や夕暮れ時の河川敷、雨に濡れそぼった舗道。
いかにも下町らしい住宅地や商店、ごちゃごちゃした路地、古ぼけた看板や暖簾など・・
素朴ですが、何かとても不思議に優しく、ほのかに懐かしい気がしてきます。
奇を衒って惹き付ける類いの写真ではありませんが、被写体への筆者独自の視点にハッとさせられます。
それはとても好奇心あふれる無邪気な視点だったり、撮る瞬間の風景の美しさに魅せられた無心の
視点だったり・・・
そういう視点に同化して、自分もその景色の場所に一瞬入ってしまうような、そんな錯覚も覚えます。
気が向かないと出不精な方ですが、自分も散歩がてらにこういう写真を撮ってみたい・・そういう興味が湧いてくる本です。

同じエイ文庫の『下町純情カメラ』（大西みつぐ）も、趣きは似通ってるとはいえ、
若干色合いに違いのある本ですが、オススメです。

40歳を過ぎて写真を撮り始めた身としてはこの本にある撮り方がとても参考になる。
肩肘張らずにリラックスして散歩しながら目に付いたものを撮る。
目に付くものは路傍の石であったり、風景であったり、人であったり、何でもいい、ということだと気づかされる。

後は「面白い」と思える好奇心と「変化」に気付く心かな。

自家用車での通勤から徒歩通勤に変えて、８ヶ月。雨の日も、雪の日も、桜の満開も、落葉も、過ぎてきました。ＣＯＮＴＡＸのＴ２を持っていたので、この本を買ってみました。芸術豊かになんて気負いが無くても、さりげない１枚に味わいを感じたりできます。この本を読んで、共感を持つとともに、なるほどプロの心と腕は違うと勉強になりました。
