"北欧４人の巨匠"、"日本人のデザイン" と続いたエイ文庫による「美しい椅子」シリーズの
第３弾は "木の椅子"。
掲載対象が "木製" という、もうほとんど縛りなしの状態となり、いよいよ完全制覇への穴埋
めに取り掛かったかっ！という印象です（笑）。
前２冊で選に漏れた名作椅子がここぞとばかりに目白押し。超有名どころを列挙すると、
　・マッキントッシュの「ヒルハウス」
　・リートフェルトの「レッド＆ブルー」「ジグザグ」
　・フランク・ロイド・ライトの「バレルチェア」
　・アアルトの「アームチェアNo.41」
　・そして巨匠イームズの「ＤＣＷ（Dining Chair Woodleg）」
というマニア垂涎の逸品ばかり。
第３弾が「木の椅子」となると、次に来るテーマはおのずと想像できてしまいますが、それは
第４弾を開いてのお楽しみとしておきます。
（というか著者自らあとがきでネタバレ書いちゃってるんですけどね（笑））

「美しい椅子」の第三弾は木製の椅子を取り上げています。相変わらず濃い内容とその値段の安さに感服します。ただ著者の他の本とだいぶ重複する内容が
多いため多少不満があります。しかし著者ご自身が書かれているよう一般の方々にもっと椅子というものをしってほしいという試みに賛同するため星五つです。
