鹿児島について言えば、結構通な焼酎を調べているように感じるが
地元民から言わせれば、旨さを言えば真っ先に出て来るものがなんで掲載されていないんだろうと思うものもある。欲を言えば、何を持ってうまいものと分類するか、その定義付けが主観的でもいいので欲しかった。

とはいえ、全篇カラーで見やすく、本のサイズも小さいので旅行のお供に持っておくと焼酎好きには重宝するかも。

まぁ焼酎の味については、ほんと"人による"ので、この地域ではこんなのがあるんだぁとか
銘柄を知るという意味で参考書感覚で見る分には、よい本である。

いろいろな酒が当たり前のように手にはいるようになった今日。ブームにのって焼酎も手にいれやすくなったけれど、手にいれにくくなった銘柄も増えた。そんなときは待つけどね。雑誌もいろいろ紹介してくれるけれど、一体、どれが本当の価格なのかというのが都会ではわかりにくい。まして、蔵の思いなど知らずに価格だけで判断しようとしている人も多い。そんな私達の考え方を変えてくれた１冊だろう。蔵の思いをしっかりと受け止め、かつ消費者側の立場にもたってもので、レギュラー銘もあるけれど、そうだったのかというような銘柄もあり、読んでいて飽きない。もっともっと次の本が読んでみたい。そう思えた１冊でした。

　文庫サイズなのに、カラーページが豊富。著者を含めて10人近い撮影陣の写真が、同書の総１７１頁に挿し絵の如く散りばめられている。肝心の紹介されている焼酎は、取次の大手問屋へ卸して全国販売していたり、今年からコンビニへ優先的に卸すようになったりした手に入りやすい商品が多く、これに幻酎系がチラホラ掲載されているといったところ。文章量も少なくて、大変読みやすい。正直、蔵からの月極納品のノルマ契約をしている小売店にしか納品せず、そんな契約店でもお得意様以外は入手困難で、やっと得意になって買えても抱き合わせ、または関東価格で「福沢諭吉１枚、お釣りなし」の商品を紹介する雑誌が多いけれど、そんな焼酎は私の小遣いじゃ飲めないよ~。
