映画用の作品であり、ラドラムのボーンの世界が繁栄されていない作品である。
記憶を探るシーンで「メデューサ」や「カイン」といった記憶回想に必須なキーワードもなく、作者がラドラムのボーンを理解して書いているのか疑わしい。コンクリンやパノフが殺されたことに関しても、これまでの二人とボーンの関わりを踏襲するのが難しいため、殺して新しい人物に代用させたのではないかと穿ってしまう。

それ以上に酷いのが訳である。助詞の使い方が間違っているために文章として成立していなかったり、登場人物がデロンだったりディロンだったりと読みにくいことこの上ない。
全く文になっていない箇所もあり、翻訳ソフトをそのまま記載したような支離滅裂な訳も多数ある。翻訳者と編集者は仕事をする気があるのだろうか？落丁、乱丁といったレベルではなく、素人仕事に金を出さされた気分だ。
ゴマ文庫の出版に対する姿勢を疑う作品である。

とにかく訳がひどすぎる、誤訳だらけで日本語にもなってない。こんな訳本を出版して販売するなんて出版社や訳者の良識を疑う。猛省を促したい。原作者が気の毒。
