デモニックはアルニム家の血族にしばしば出る天才のコト。
頭イイし顔もイイし詩・絵・音楽エトセトラーって才能の大行進だけど
いろんなヒトに嫌われてしまうし、どうやら悲惨な運命をたどり夭逝することが多いらしい。

そんなデモニックとして生まれた主人公、ジョシュア・フォン・アルニムのココロの動きが、私は好き。
最初は表紙があんまりキレイだったから、本屋でフラフラ〜っとコレに寄って行った。
キレイだな〜と思いながら始めのほうを読んでいたら、時間を忘れてしまうくらいハマった。
物語冒頭の、大人よりも大人っぽいジョシュア。
マキシミンという親友を得てからの、かわいらしいジョシュア。
それで、色んな事件、多くの出会い、大切な人との別れ…
とにかく、読めばハマっちゃう。
出てくる人たちのキモチに共感したり、驚かされたり。
分厚いのに、全然あきずにいっきに読み切った。

ゲームのコトも第一部も知らないけど、コレだけでもおもしろいです！

これは面白かったですね。
ルーンの子供たち冬の剣1、2、3とデモニック1を読み終え2を現在読んでいる途中なのですが
デモニック1は冬の剣以上にはまりました。
私はルーンの子供たちはゆっくり読んでいるのですがデモニック1だけはかなり早く読み終えてしまいました。
冬の剣との違いとして、戦闘シーンがほとんどなくなっているのですが、主人公ジョシュアのデモニックによる巧みな話術にはとてもわくわくさせられました。
冬の剣とは別のストーリーとなっていますのでデモニックから読み始めるのもいいと思いますよ。
ゲームの方でヨシュアからジョシュアに変更された理由もわかりますよ(笑)
