1918年12月28日大阪に生まれる。1941年多摩帝国美術学校図案科卒業。1955年日本童画会賞受賞。以降、数々の賞を受賞。現在、日本児童出版美術家連盟会員。日中児童出版美術交流センター副会長。JBBY名誉会員。絵本学会理事。こどもの本WAVE名誉代表(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)
