仕事がうまくいかなかったり、家庭に問題があったりして、ちょっと人生に疲れたなと感じたビジネスマンをターゲットにしたような語り口になっています。
文体は平易で、一日で読み切れました。

てんとう虫コミックスの各々のストーリーを引用しながら、のび太がどんな気持ちで物事に取り組んでいるのかを推察しながら、彼が決して弱々しい人間ではなく、常に夢を追い続けて生活している、立派な人間であることを解説しています。
実際ドラえもんは、のび太が望むとおりに、なんでもかんでもポケットから道具を出しているわけではないですし。

私自身は、コミックスを読んでいた子どもの頃から、うすうす感じていたことを明文化しているにすぎない程度に感じました。
そういう意味では、ドラえもんフリークの人が、”新たな情報”を得ようとして読むと「なーんだ」で終わってしまうかもしれません。

ただし、あらすじの部分では、文章化されたコミックのストーリーを目で追ったわけですが、自分は数十年前に読んだきりだったのに、ほとんど全部のシーンを憶えていることに、正直ビックリしました。そしてなぜか、子どもの頃が急になつかしくなりました。

元々のび太のことは好きだったのですが、この本を読んでからもっと好きになりました！
私がのび太を好きな１番の理由は優しい性格。のび太メソッドと題してこの本にはのび太の性格や行動がマンガの話を題材にして詳しく触れられています。「自分から周りの人に思いやりを持って接する。それが毎日を楽しくする秘訣ではないでしょうか。」という言葉にも共感できました。秘密道具がなくたって、実践できることはたくさんあります。私も今のび太の心を目指して、日々勉強中です。
